MMS Weather Data Project
| During this project you will go to a computer every day and collect weather data to record on our weather maps in class. While at the computer you and your partner will record data on your data sheets in the packet you recieved in class. Later you will record your data on a map in class for one week in station circle format that you learned in class. | ||
| You will be assigned a particular city in North America to monitor. Locate your station on the table "Station Codes for MMS Daily Weather DATA Project" write the station code for your location on your data sheet. | ||
Go to Stations for project and click the station code for the location you have been assigned or Go to wunderground.com A page that looks like this will come up. At the top of the page where it says "Enter Location" type the name of the city and state (or city and country name if you have a station assigned that is not in the US.) (Once you have gotten to the site with the data from your station save it in your "favorites" list from then on just use your bookmark!) |

Data will appear on a page that looks like this, I have put a "loop" around the parts of the page you will need to use to record your data. This should look familiar from class :) Record this data on the data table you have been given. Complete the Station Circle just as you have been taught in class. |

| Locate your station on the map with station identifiers on it.
Compare the location of Station Identifiers to the map with the circles to locate where you will record your data in Station Circle format.
| You and your partner will follow this process for 5 days. Recording your data on a different "Weather Map" each day. | ||
